We are so lucky to have such a talented calligrapher. These wedding invitations have just had guest names written in calligraphy and don’t they look gorgeous! I always love how an invitation can look so different and even more elegant once you add in guest names written in one of the many calligraphy styles.

It’s been another crazy busy week this week in the office and Chloe has been helping.. well, as much as a dog can! Mainly napping and greeting visitors, so here she is to wish you a wonderful weekend! x

Sylvia and Daniel wanted a simple yet stylish invitation to let guests know about their upcoming wedding ceremony. If you are having a small reception, this is a lovely way to formally include all your friends and family and ask them to celebrate with you at your ceremony without mentioning a following reception.

Sylvia loved the double layer invitation style so we created a silver backing card, with a matte white top card layer containing all the ceremony details. We then completed the design with a white grosgrain ribbon featuring silver stitching to add a touch of glamour . . .

There is always a lot of tissue paper, boxes and ribbons flying around as invitations get packed up ready to post off to our lovely brides, grooms and birthday people! I love buttons, so many shapes, colours and sizes. Searching through tubes of buttons to find just the right combination. That’s what I was able to do for this sweet naming ceremony invitation. Have a look at the cute blue and white combination of buttons we found..

add some blue satin ribbon, some little blue hearts and ta-daaa! this is what we have! A charming little folding invitation for Cormac’s Naming Ceremony.

Carrying the theme, we then we have some simple little name tags for the guests . . . how cute are the little blue hearts!

This lovely invitation was created for Vivienne’s upcoming Baptism. Her parents were looking for something unique and reflective of this special occasion and decided on our Pearlised Cross Invitation.

A bright white invitation card features an embossed and pearlised cross with flowing ribbons to soften the design. All invitation text is printed in a thermographic ink in a gorgeous soft pink. Ahhh.. so sweet.

Who wouldn’t want to get married in Maui? Such a gorgeous location for a destination wedding. A place filled with palm trees, tropical flowers, tranquil surroundings, friendly people and gorgeous sunsets, Ahh…bliss. Well, that is where today’s lucky couple are going to be exchanging their vows at the stunning Four Seasons Resort Maui.

With such an amazing wedding location, Rebecca and Todd chose a debossed invitation printed in a navy thermographic ink. The hibiscus flowers on the invitation and RSVP card are debossed with a pearlised finish to give a very subtle effect. Their invitation wording is printed in navy and really stands out in the thermographic (raised) ink.

Ahhh, maybe one more relaxing image of the Serenity Pool at the Four Seasons Resort Maui before I get back to work! – It looks more like a glamourous postcard!

I know we have been very slow with our posts lately, sorry! So, as something a little different, I have decided rather than showing you something that has already been created, I am going to give you a sneak peek of something that is happening in the Little Flamingo production room right now! Yes, right this second, if I can just push through and snap a couple of pics! …and… here it is!

What is it? I can hear you ask, Well these are front tabs that will go on the pocket for Amy and Chris’ wedding invitation. What does their entire invitation look like? Well, you will just have to wait and see when it’s finished. All I will tell you is that the theme is white, silver and black, and show you the front invitation tab of course!

Today we have a glamourous Save the Date card to show you. These Save the Dates were created for one of our lovely interstate couples from Western Australia. We used a matte cream card with matching envelopes and finished the design off with a gorgeous little pearl as a date marker.

Black and white always look fabulous for invitations and a 50th birthday party is no exception. We created these gorgeous dinner party invitations for Phillip’s 50th birthday celebration. All the important details are printed on a long matte white card with a matte black backing card giving a small black border around the edge of the invitation. These will be delivered in matching black envelopes that the client is going to address in a white pen.
