A corporate client contacted us to create some place cards for an upcoming event. The focus of their conference is on renovating with a hint of the TV series ‘The Block’. With this in mind I immediately knew what I wanted to create for them.

Let’s bring in some fun and colourful lego blocks, perfect for the renovating theme!.. (I think the sky blue blocks are my favourite lego block colour)

and then we need names right? so everyone knows where to sit. . . 

We wanted to make sure the names were clear on each card and that the design was simple yet unique. So let’s join them together! After conducting a couple of stability, strength and name visibility tests, we had the perfect combination.

Aren’t they fun? I can just see the conference guests sitting at their tables creating little architectural masterpieces from their place card lego.

After having a nice relaxing break in Palm Cove and attending the most gorgeous wedding of 2 very close friends I am having a hard time trying to get out of relaxation mode and into Christmas mode!! I can’t believe how quickly Christmas and the holiday season has crept up on me! Even with the stores having their Christmas displays since September! {does anyone else think that September is way to early!?}

So with a cup of hot chocolate and some holiday spirit I thought I would share with you a FREE gift tag printable of the tags I have designed to use on my presents this year..what do you think?!…

To create these pretties, you will need the following…

Shopping List:
* Gorgeous card to print your tags on (I used Kraft card for these)
* Printer (to print out you new gift tags)
* Scissors
* Hole punch
* Ribbons, twine, raffia or whatever you would like to use to attach your tags to your goodies.
* FREE printable gift tag template

1. After downloading the gift tag template, print them out on your favourite card – I used Kraft card for these.
2. Cut out each tag following the line provided
3. Next use the circle guide to punch your threading hole with your hole punch.
4. Thread your favourite ribbon through the hole and there you have it, your own set of gorgeous tags! – So easy! Which is your favourite?

These are just so adorable, gorgeous little bird place cards. But these are no ordinary folded tee-pee style place card, firstly they are silhouette shaped like little birds..and if that isn’t cute enough then what about putting them on the rim of each guests glass to really tie in your theme.

Our gorgeous Little Bird place cards were created with a cream card and a lime coloured dotted border with each personalised with their new owners name!

These look stunning on a table with all the birds sitting on thier glasses. But the gorgeousness doesn’t stop there, you can use them in so many places! Use the little birds as part of table centrepieces amongst your blooms, as a bomboniere tag or even as an alternative to a guest book having each guest write their well wishes and perch the little birds onto a birdcage or floral arrangement.

Well, with a lot of baking inspiration arriving to us last week, I had to do a little weekend baking.

There wasn’t a lot of spare time on the weekend but I did manage to whip up some Banana bread and since I can’t share a slice of the banana bread with you lovely readers, I thought I would create a FREE muffin or cupcake topper printable for you instead! YAY!

Banana bread never lasts long in our house, even if it’s nicely packaged! Yesterday I baked in the blue loaf case from Emerald and Ella - so cute!

And a couple of individual muffin size with little cake topper  decoration just perfect for sharing . . .

Download your FREE cupcake topper template here. All you need to do for this easy DIY is print out the downloaded sheet onto your favourite colour paper or card and use a circle punch or scissors to cut them out! easy! (I used a 1-inch scalloped edge punch)

Once you have cut them out attach each sign to a toothpick with a little piece of tape. If you want them double sided just attach a cut-out to both sides of the toothpick with double sided tape!

Add a little ribbon bow (I used a 3mm ribbon) around the top, pop them into your cake or cupcakes and you have some cute little cake toppers!! – Enjoy! 

It’s always so nice to be able to celebrate birthdays with family, but now a lot of families live around the globe so it’s hard to get everyone together for a birthday celebration. This is the case for Kris who lives in the USA while a large portion of his family live here in Australia. So when Kris was going to be in Australia just after his birthday there was one theme that seemed right to celebrate with and remind him of small parts of his Australian childhood… We didn’t want a traditional and sometimes garish green and gold look so opted more for of a sophisticated lemon and lime feel to the colour palette.

Let’s start with a behind the scenes look at the ‘mess’ in the lead up to the party. There are a lot of little things that need to be prepped before the celebrations can start…

We created a monogram for Kris, it had to be something strong and definitely not fussy as it wasn’t a childrens birthday party. We backed his birthday monogram with yellow and green stripes and continued these colours and stripes through the tables and decor.

There were definitely a few late nights cutting and sticking! I was glad there were only a small number of guests for this celebration as cutting and attaching little flags to straws can turn you cross-eyed! But in the end they did look sweet…

One of our gorgeous clients Angela who we have previously created some special stationery for her mum’s birthday is having a baby! She doesn’t know if she is having a baby boy or girl so for her baby shower she wanted something neutral in shades of yellow. She loved our “Little Buttons” invitation so we created this for her in tones of yellow to complement her celebration.

First we needed to find the right shades of yellow for the ribbon and buttons that would complement the printed yellow. Once this was done, we then started work putting each invitation together to create her own special ‘Little Buttons’ invitation for Angela and her guests…ahhh, isn’t it cute!

I love working with our clients to create something unique to them, their personalities and their celebration and this engagement invitation is no exception.

Britt came to us with this lovely seaside painting that was created for her and her fiancé Tom by Tom’s very talented father. They wanted to share it with their guests and use it as part of their engagement invitation. With such beautiful artwork, we didn’t want to take away from the design so we simply added some text in the sky making sure to choose a type that wasn’t overpowering and ta-daa! Here is the result..

I love the way you can still see the brushstrokes on the finished invitation.

We are so lucky to have such a talented calligrapher. These wedding invitations have just had guest names written in calligraphy and don’t they look gorgeous! I always love how an invitation can look so different and even more elegant once you add in guest names written in one of the many calligraphy styles.

There is always a lot of tissue paper, boxes and ribbons flying around as invitations get packed up ready to post off to our lovely brides, grooms and birthday people!
